Honestly, I don’t have an idea what kind of story angle the reporter is pursuing. All I know is that I have a love-hate relationship with Friendster and the only thing that’s keeping me from deleting my account altogether is the bizarre pleasure I get from keeping ex-boyfriend(s) in my friends’ list, seeing ex-boyfriend with his arms around present girlfriend, how someone feels so pretty being buried under tons of make-up while you’re thinking how terrible she looks, seeing ex-classmates now carrying their babies plus how different they look from years ago. Of late, somebody has messaged me to ask about a job opening (!!) and more of the girls it seems are baring their tummies which reminds me that the long, hot summer season is here. Of course, there are still who pin their hopes in meeting dates through Friendster of which I must say ‘good luck to you.’ According to this article, F and Myspace are giving online dating sites like Yahoo Personals and Match.com a run for their money. I have learned in life that what one says to narrow-minded people (assuming that your accounts are accurate- haha of course, they are) is a full-of-conviction-good-riddance!

LOL, sorry, ajay, alam ko mainit ang ulo mo pero natawa naman ako dito — i am so out-of-the loop when it comes to cyber-friendships, nakaka-enlighten ang post mo! i have a friendster account but don’t use it kasi unang punta ko pa lang d’on natakot ako sa mga pics ng mga babae na halos mala-porn na!!! baka blessing in disguise ‘to for you.

heheh, i think the new features that friendster implemented only made it look closer to myspace… i hated myspace kasi panay mga lowflying males, females and everything in between ang nandoon, tapos kinocustomize pa nila yung pages nila, WTF?!?!?! i don’t care if you can cut and paste HTML into your profile… it sucks na andaming movies ang lumalabas… myspace is social networking spam

now friendster is slutenizing their interface… i think friendster is turning into a spam machine itself… too bad kasi i’ve been a member since nov 2002

Korek ka dyan Toni: “ang Friendster dapat hindi kina-career.” But obviously some people have made a career out of it, sabi ko nga they’ve “made it the high point of their earthly existence.” I envy them for having the time:)

Calipinoy, I didn’t say I didn’t like Filipino men collectively. I think men will be men regardless of whether they are Italian, American, Malaysian or Pinoy.It’s just that I don’t have a good experience with Filipino men. I have to admit that when they are in their best elements, Pinoy guys can be the sweetest. But I look for somebody who is decent, broad-minded and cosmopolitan. It’s not cosmopolitan and decent when they STALK me, give death threats, go into jealous fits, openly womanize and/or break up with me through text/Friendster. All these I have experienced with Pinoy men here in the Philippines. Oh, the trauma!
