I was enjoying my Sunday rest yesterday when I got up to see what the commotion in the other side of the house was all about.
Yay! I was surprised to see my son cooking in front of the stove flipping his very first successful sunny side up. Mom was silently beaming. The son can cook!
Afterwards, son cooked some more. It was only instant noodles but what the heck. A few months before, he had mastered the art of cooking the same food on the microwave and I thought he would stop there.
I promised him that the next time we will be baking cookies together.
While kuya was preparing the food, the twins (shown in pic with their favorite mascot Jollibee) were washing the dishes and utensils together.
Talk about playing house, the single parent household version.

awww…how cute! i can’t even get my daughter to turn on the stove!

I was about to say Toni that he’s gonna make some girl happy someday if he continues with this. Hmm, actually he’s mentioned to me that he’s gonna sell french fries in a cart next summer. Haay, my kids are growing up fast!

Oh that’s really nice! I was wishing that my younger cousins were like that rather than depending on the maids. They never learned a thing or two about household chores.

Okay nga iyan. And you have a maid right? At least they’re still helping.

OMG! Talo ako ni kuya! I don’t flip my fried egg… I just talsik the oil (sorry, don’t know the English for talsik).

The maids…I hope that in five years there’ll be no stay-in maid in my house anymore. We all should be able to look after ourselves by then:wink:
