Here are some shots at the fun-filled 1st Philippine BlogCon which was held at Greenbelt’s National Sports Grill last night. I simply had to attend this event as a blogger and as a columnist. The bonus was seeing some people I’ve only corresponded with online like the charming Noemi Dado, unassuming Retz, Andrei of Eche..blah..blah; some other new acquaintances I was excited to see for the first time and biggies like Yuga, Jayvee, Marc Gloria, Jangelo and others who are literally rolling in their blogging dollars :P It was nice to see you all guys and I guess we have to thank the sponsor Globe Innove Communications for all of this.

Two things that freely flowed during the event: food and ideas. In between meeting the fellow bloggers I was excited to see, I was delighted to find chicken breast fillet sandwich pasta carbonara french fries potato chips pizza shrimp & fried chicken wings on the buffet table. Most useful were the PPTs from the blogger-attendees like Noemi who talked on why “Content is King,” Yuga’s gospel on problogging and Marc’s “How to Optimize Your Site for Adsense in 10 Minutes” among others. It wasn’t really a BlogCon in the strictest sense of the word since the atmosphere was downright casual and spelled fun all over. There was lots of chatter on who was writing what, how much some people were earning and of course am just happy to check out new people on my bookmarks like Gibbs, Chris, Ade, Sonny, Jun, Rico, Jeff, Markku, Elber and lots of others I wish I had more time to know.

It was nice to know that the guys of The Man Blog were as wacky in real life as they are online. Take for example this conversation betwen me and Mike Villar:

Moi: Hey Mikey, thanks for choosing my blog from among a hundred other blogs to be part of Dash-Media, the newest network for the coolest content on the net.

Mikey: Uhmm, you know we only did that because you write for the Manila Bulletin. Am sure you know that!

Moi: Duh?? ok :P

hehe.
