The Fun Ranch in Pasig is probably the closest Manilans can get to year-round kiddie entertainment in one roof without going as far as Enchanted Kingdom or out of the country where those Disneyland Resorts are. The place is quite cramped but any parent would appreciate the little touches here and there which are meant to catch a child’s fancy.I just wish they had a ride-all-you-can ticket isntead of paying per ride which can get quite expensive. It seems to be a popular venue for birthday parties or just plain treating the kids out. Going there over the weekend, I was surprised at a few changes that have taken place since we first visited a year ago.

Jumpin’ Jacks is a sprawling outdoor playground that features a series of inflatables. Among these are an obstacle course, the Octopus and tunnels with various themes such as the jungle and winter wonderland. Kids can play hide and seek and jump to their heart’s delight in this paradise.

The Pink Salon by Barbie at the Toy Barn is their first kiddie beauty parlor in the world. You’d feel warmed by the colors even if you’re a grown-up and love pink! So did my little ladies who faced cute the heart-shaped mirrors as if they were ready for primping. In this salon, kids can avail beauty services such as a Diva Hairstyle, Glitter Tattoo and Nail Art. Simply perfect for all the kikay wanna-bes :P

The Blue Whale Grill is a spacious restaurant that serves the same specialties as the Big Red Barn in the complex. On the menu are seafood dishes and kiddie favorites like spaghetti, burgers, fries and fried chicken. I like their nautical theme, the kiddie slides just outside the resto and the red tables.

Marta’s Cakes has a cozy booth in Fun Ranch where kids can decorate cupcakes with all sorts of colored frostings and of course get to eat them too. Who knows, you might have a future pastry chef in your hands!!

Kids also get to make their own pizza at this resto called Pomodoro Verde and I guess we’ll have to try that the next time.

Some more Fun Ranch photos that made our day:

Fun Ranch has these cartoon character signs where kids can learn about their favorite animals while posing for a picture.

It’s great to be a child again at the Fun Ranch!
