A big thank you to all the thoughtful friends, family and countrymen who sent me their holiday greetings. I realized that more than anything, the gift of TIME was what I needed this Christmas. Bear with me if I share my Yuletide wishes here to all who are close to me in mind and heart, by way of reading this blog or communing with me in real life. May the coming year bring a lot of happiness and blessings to you all, and more inspiration for me :P

Christmas this year was quite “enlightening” for me, in the sense that the 24th began with a road accident. How anti-climactic to be leisurely driving to your vacation destination and then hearing the loud thud and “ka-voom” of metal upon metal. Car bumper and fender was wrecked; me and the children were just thankful to come out of it unhurt.

In the meantime, had to make my testimony to the traffic bureau in a trailer truck converted into a police station. This station had no phone, no water and no toilet. So much of government reaching out to the people, and its own people. It was just laudable that the traffic police in the decrepit Balintawak station were a jolly nice lot and didn’t mind their troubles. After all, it was Christmas Eve.

Judging from Christmases past, I will always survive it, no matter how horrific.

Good enough that this personalized love letter was enough to tide me me over (as translated from postcard above):

My Dear Annalyn,

From the moment we contacted each other, I never would have guessed the result. You will always surprise me, and never disappoint me.

I wish you all that you desire. Success, in all things. Happiness, Health, and Love.

I am your Man, you already know that, you clever girl!

Mr. Z

Love to guide me and endlessly inspire me. That must be love, right? :P
