The Gucci Gang, & why ChikaTime is “it”

For almost two weeks now, the local blogosphere has been abuzz with gossip so juicy that it threatened to put the ZTE scandal into oblivion. “Aggrieved” blogger Brian Gorrell has torn down most of the controversial posts and gazillion comments. What remains are the last three posts, with a promise to republish the juicy portions if his former lover continues not to pay him.

Question ko lang: ano naman ang ibabayad ni Delfin Montano kung sinasabi nga ni BG na ang kotse ng social climber DJ na ito ay walang aircon (!!) at di sinusuwelduhan ang driver for three months??

If Mr. Gorrell is HIV-positive, how close to positive is DJ Montano?

Western Union is laos na, and expensive pa. Mas sosyal ang Ikobo prepaid card. Ikobo is an advertiser of this blog and they recently sent me a reloadable prepaid card (plugging!:P) where I didn’t encounter any hassle withdrawing from ATMs or using it to shop and swipe, a la Visa or Mastercard.

My friend Timotea asked why I haven’t made a post about the Gucci Gang expose. The obvious reason is that the topic is a little “off” for this blog. The coke-snorting ways of Manila’s elite young set is so detached from my life. I’d rather plan my next bento, or braid my twins’ hair, or blog. Besides, I hardly even drink Coke. :D

What a bore I’ve become. But life would be much better if we focus on the positive and the beautiful, such as this lovely table decor made of Jelly Belly beans. Courtesy of Candy Corner.

If like me you’re not able to watch Showbiz Central or all those gossip TV shows, time to head to ChikaTime, for “delicious gossip & fiction served.” I swear I don’t know who the people behind this blog are but I swear I know one or two editors they’re talking about. :D I believe it was also here where the growing DJ Montano brouhaha first came out, more than a month ago.

Word of the day:

Laitera – someone who derives satisfaction from putting down or making fun out of other people

Laitera… haha, may kilala akong ganyan. They derive some pleasure from making fun and putting down people, but it doesn’t make them more beautiful, thinner or smart.

But it’s fun to make lait. Hehe.

Who dat Nina?….say it’s not Malu Fernandez :D

natatawa ako sa yo, ajay. from dj montano to brian gorrell to ikobo to candy corner to chika time! yan ang art, done artfully in one graceful sweep of the brush. :)

i’m glad you’re not saying more about that sordid dirty linen in public affair of a loser (read: bobo) aussie and his leechy boyfriend, coke-snorters as show dancers on the side. it gets old really really fast. interesting pa nga for me to learn about that card you were plugging and the other ways you can receive funds from foreign sources on the net. :)

Svelte, oo nga…eclectic ang drama, napansin mo rin??hahaha. Ika nga ni Brian Gorrell, it’s not really my intention to ‘elicit sympathy’..just giving the proper props to the peeps at Ikobo :D

Brian is lying. He wants Dj back in his life, but DJ doesnt wnt him anymore. ow he has gone psycho and mentally ill putting blogs so he can revenge that way. Dj does not owe brian money. I know that. Please pass the news. Brians gone crazy.

iKobo has good service, and is quite similiar to PayPal, in some respects. They do not intend to function as a buyer-seller portal, though. Things to be aware of – you can move more money via PayPal, if needed, but PayPal’s Dollar-Peso exchange rate will leave you pining away for ATM fees, and the local moneychanger ;) With iKobo, you’ll get whatever daily rate the ATM is serving, and standard ATM fees apply. Still wouldn’t do you any good in Batanes, though :P Be aware, Big Spenders – initial limit with iKobo is $1000USD for most customers, and that is a monthly limit. iKobo will not review your account for limit increases if your account is less that thirty days old.

As far as Coke goes, well “..I don’t really like it that much”, “..I can stop at any time!”, and “..I don’t have a problem, why do you say that?”

      Heh.
