If you’re running in the 2010 elections & you’re not on Facebook, are you cool?

Sen. Mar Roxas is cool. Looks like he updates his Facebook status himself. And he added me as a friend, hehe. The better to be apprised of this promising presidentiable’s activities.

Whoa! Sen. Chiz Escudero has too many FB accounts, you’d never know which is which. I’ll go by the one where we have a lot of mutual friends :D

Not to be outdone is Among Ed Panlilio, the likeliest of the unlikely candidates.

Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro is still quiet about his plans. But there’s nothing more telling than the phrase “My Vision for the Country.” Sounds like this line was written by a bored copywriter but yes, we hear you Sir :D

Add Sen. Loren as a friend?

Loren Legarda

Vice President Noli de Castro is too busy for Facebook. But his supporters put him here anyway ;)

Hmmm, whatever happened to Erap and Sen. Manny Villar?

True, the 2010 elections will be decided by the majority who, unfortunately, don’t have internet connection. But I just find it thrilling to have groovy candidates who are just a Twitter update away.

And pardon me as am obviously Facebook-spotting right about now ;)

    Hey Az,

we can give them the benefit of the doubt.A ghost FB account is better than no account at all.

And besides if the candidate is technologically inclined, it’s so easy to update your Facebook status even by cellphone, lol

Hi! I’m part of Team Chiz. The senator has several Facebook accounts because his first two reached the limit of 5,000 contacts.

    His real accounts include:
    1. Chiz Escudero
    2. Francis Chiz Escudero
    3. Francis Joseph Chiz Escudero

He also has an official fan page: Francis Chiz Escudero (the primary picture has his website address). One supporter created a fan page (the one with more than 18,000 “fans.” There are other fan pages pushing for his candidacy but as far as I know the one I listed above are his personal accounts.

Am waiting for the other camps to chime in, myself. When a staffer responds, it tells me they’re paying attention. Let’s see how long it takes for the others to post up here.

    YMMV :D

  6. That’s really Mar Roxas’ FB account. When I was in Manila, I saw him using his laptop and updated his Facebook account.

It’s just really good to know that these people are reaching out to the people through these social networks.
