Due to insistent popular demand, here are some important dates to mark on your calendar in the coming year :P

April 1 (Thursday) – Holy Thursday

April 2 (Friday) – Good Friday

April 4 (Sunday) – Easter Sunday

April 9 (Friday) – Araw ng Kagitingan

May 1 (Saturday) – Labor Day

May 9 (Sunday) – Mother’s Day

May 10 (Monday) – national elections in the Philippines

June 12 (Saturday) – Philippine Independence Day

June 20 (Sunday) – Fathers’ day

August 23 (Monday) – Ninoy Aquino Day

August 30 (Monday) – National Heroes’ Day

September 10 (Friday) -Eid al Fitr

November 30 (Tuesday) – National Heroes’ day

December 25 (Saturday) – Christmas Day

December 30 (Thursday) – Rizal Day

* Please refer to this previous post. In an earlier proclamation by President Arroyo, some of the holidays falling on week days or weekends have been adjusted to a Friday or Monday to enable working Filipinos to enjoy the long weekend.
