Unlike the free entrance policy of the Cuenca bazaar, my family had to shell out P50 each to enter the Noel Discovery bazaar at the World Trade Center in Manila. I grumbled a bit. I mean, why do we have to shell out money to be able to patronize something that's earning from the tenants already? I just hope the fees they collected go to charity as the place was just packed with people on the day of our visit. And unlike the Cuenca bazaar which was in a remote location, I thought the Noel bazaar had less security. The WTC being in the boundary of Manila, Makati and ... Continue Reading...

Cuenca (St. James the Great) bazaar in Ayala Alabang: shopping finds
It was my first time at the St. James the Great bazaar (better known by its shorter name Cuenca bazaar) yesterday and I had a blast. Now I know what makes this event a famous pitstop of shopaholics from all over the metro even with its out-of-the-way location. I thought it was just across Alabang Town Center. Turns out you really have to drive all the way through the posh neighborhood of Ayala Alabang Village until you reach a far end, the so-called covered court of Cuenca St. Parking can be a pain because of the volume of visitors. But I must say I liked the ... Continue Reading...

Potato theme Thanksgiving menu at Lolo Dad’s Brasserie
Now that it's Thanksgiving 2010 ( celebrated in the US on Thursday, November 25), what are you thankful for this year? I feel that am not wanting of things right now if I choose to live life simply, and to think that life is not a race to be rich or have the biggest house on the road. Instead, I will aim to see the world and savor quality moments with my family and people who matter because indeed, life is short. ... Continue Reading...
Mercato Centrale @ BGC : finally, a weekend food market in Bonifacio Global City
Mercato Centrale is one good reason to be in Bonifacio Global City during weekends. Am glad they have launched a weekend market like this to rival those found in Makati City, Quezon City (Lung Center) and Pasig City (Banchetto). For now, it's being marketed as a healthy, organic market but for us who love our burgers, bacon fat and pork belly, there are lots of appetizing choices too. Two hours was certainly not enough for me and the hubby to enjoy the flavors of this market. Now you know where to get your Christmas shopping done in case you want food gifts that ...
