Darwin International School is the reason why I want to pack up my three school-age kids to Bulacan. Bulacan students should be oh-so-lucky :D Darwin is a relatively new school and started as a tutorial center in 2003. Even though it has "international school" attached to its name, the tuition is not crazy expensive (between 30-40 thousand pesos a year, if am not mistaken). But it certainly proves a lot in providing quality education to its students, judging from its graduates' high admission rates to the Top 3 universities in the country. For this year's ... Cherry Mobile P1 giveaway & contest alert
Decluttering is one of my resolutions for 2011. There's some stuff I got from press events I attended last year which am planning to give away to our dear readers this year. And that should be a good thing :D Here's what am giving now: Sony Bluetooth Wireless Stereo Headset - an impeccable product because it's a Sony. With this device, you can answer calls and listen to music hands-free! A Cherry Mobile P1 phone - the size of a credit card, it is touted as the smallest mobile phone in the market and one of the cheapest at P1000. I got this inside a cake last ... Continue Reading...
Heavenly Chocolates… is it?
Hubby and I found ourselves in Quezon City today to have the car repaired somewhere in Roosevelt and somehow ended up in this nondescript place on Roces Avenue. Ending up in a cozy cafe like Heavenly Chocolates reminded me that Valentine's Day is coming before we know it. Wouldn't you like to receive the 'I Miss You' or ILY chocolate? How about the Kama Sutra chocolates? I did a bad job of photographing this, but go figure :D Give to impress with their huge OMG Chocolate Bar, P650 for 500 grams. The chocolates are locally made but use imported ... Continue Reading...
My life in Foursquare
Just a bit of info for the uninitiated: Fourquare is a geosocial networking site that let's you "check in" into the places you go to using the GPS capability of any of these devices: iPhone, Android, Windows 7 and Blackberry. No matter what they say about revealing too much of your location to the public (my take on that later), I simply love it. I dig the idea of being a "mayor" of certain places (without being elected, lah!) by checking into a place at least twice. I like the fact that members can leave tips on what's hot and what sucks in hotels and restos, what ... Continue Reading...
iPad 64gb with wi-fi + 3G first impressions
Ever since I had my aluminum Mac (let's call her Stella), I've begun subscribing to the dictum "once you go Mac, you never go back." Stella has been my most trusted blogging companion, a repository of my most precious files and photos. It doesn't ever go into hanging episodes or virus attacks. She's proven to be as reliable as a loyal dog waiting for her master. Thank God for Christmases, looks like Stella now has a worthy sibling in the iPad 64gb with wifi +3G - a much-liked gift from the techie hubby. I love this new gadget not just because it is the hottest item ... Continue Reading...
