As a blogger, the quality of my monitor is as important as the software and hardware of my computer. The main reason: I don't want my eyes to suffer. Second: I want to maximize whatever pleasure I get from internet surfing, viewing movies and playing games on my desktop. I have the 22-inch Philips "Brilliance" LCD monitor which I love for its ergonomic design. Its built-in Power Sensor is most commendable because monitor brightness is reduced when am away from my desk, even for just a bit - greatly reducing my power cost.
