As Prince William and his bride Kate Middleton get wed today in Westminster Abbey, expect no blow-by-blow account of the solemn wedding ceremony. Reports have it that Scotland Yard has all grounds covered to make it a secure event by blocking cell signals in and around the Abbey before and during the wedding. I guess this is just to be expected in an age where anyone and everyone has the compulsion to reach to his smartphone and pass on texts, videos and photos digitally. This means no live tweets or Facebook statuses either. Truth is, one can find a livestream of ... Continue Reading...

Kyoto Jishu Shrine, the Cupid of Japan
Okay, this is the last of my Kyoto posts. I just couldn't resist writing about this place, knowing how some of my friends are trying to find love and will even resort to astrology, fortunetelling and other crazy schemes to know who their life partner will be! I also took inspiration from this wonderful creature called ... Continue Reading...

It was almost dusk and mercilessly cold when we arrived in Kyoto. I said silently to myself: "You can never dress enough in this kind of weather....brrr!" I was freezing and it didn't help that ...
