Max’s coffee table book launched
We ate in Max's SM Sucat for Easter. Nothing fancy. But dining at Max's has a nomnom factor that never fails. Long before the rise of today's bonchons, twice-fried, gourmet international fried chickens, there was Max's - a proudly Filipino brand with a crunch and deliciousness to every bite Their recently-launched coffee table book should be in a foodie's collection, especially for loyalists of the brand. Chicken Charlie's first branch in the heart of Manila is now occupying the former spot of Kopi Roti in Adriatico St. Malate. It should be my new hangout soon, as it is near the office. I can't help myself from eating one chicken wing after another. ... Continue Reading...
Samsung 2011 gadgets & appliances up close
One of the events I attended last week was the annual Samsung AV Roadshow held at the Crowne Plaza Galleria. It was my turn to ogle at what the Korean electronics giant had to offer in terms of TVs, cameras and other gadgets for 2011. The new line-up of Smart TVs is simply awesome. Imagine being able to Facebook right in your living room, then share whatever you're watching with your close FB friends. The TVs are smart enough to recommend videos based on your viewing habits. ... Continue Reading...
