This is a rather belated review of Sony Ericsson's top-of-the-line android, the Xperia Arc which I had written about when it was launched end of March together with the smaller Xperia Neo. The first thing to rave about the Xperia Arc is its metallic concave body ( that's why it's called the Arc). I give it lots of pogi points for its form factor. I'd easily call this the Porsche of androids at the moment. It's been almost three months since it was launched. I wonder if the introductory price of P29,990 in the Philippines has gone down. The pitfall of this ... Continue Reading...

Name the mystery phone and WIN!
Something arrived in my doorstep the other day. I'll hold the name for now. Let me just call it "the much-awaited smartphone." First impressions: it rocks! At only 8mm thin, I can't describe how fab it feels in my hands and how nice it looks even when placed on the table like this (see photo below) Its sleek front glass panel and textured back casing makes it classy all the way! You can share the excitement with me in heralding the arrival of this smartphone by correctly guessing the name and model of the phone. I will draw three winners every week for three ... The big switch to Windows Live Hotmail
When Gmail first came out, I remember how it boasted that "you will never have to delete your email again." I followed this to the letter and after thousands of press releases, forum notifications and other what-nots later, Google is now warning me that am running out of space and may have to buy additional storage. Gaah! it's letting me down. I used to have a Hotmail account, and now I've opened a new one because of the exciting things that's happening with this service. Guess what? it's giving me (and you!) virtually unlimited storage. Another thing: I don't ... Continue Reading...
X-Men First Class and AOC monitors
One of the advantages of being a new media publisher (read: blogger) is being able to watch the special premiere of the hit movie X-Men First Class. This time around, the premiere was sponsored by the Taiwan-made AOC monitors. AOC has come out with the X-Men Special Edition range which should be worth looking into if you're shopping for a new monitor. The new line of AOC products are impressive because of their sleekness and thinness. Take for example their ultra-slim “Razor” X series where all the input connectors and control electronics are "hidden" in one smart ... Continue Reading...
The Village Sports Club, BF Homes Paranaque
BF Homes Paranaque is a republic unto itself. It deserves to be so, being the biggest subdivision in Asia (or so they say). We don't live here, but I've always loved going here. Number one reason.... the FOOD, and simply just hanging out. There's no dearth of good things to do: my "secret" boutiques are here, and so are my sweet cozy spots for relaxing - be it getting a massage, having my nails done or simply sipping latte in the coffeeshop while enjoying the free wi-fi, of course! Most recently, somebody pointed me in the direction of The Village Sports Club which ... Continue Reading...
