Brieo is the latest group buying site in the Philippines

September 17, 2011 by ajay

Group buying sites are one of the perks of living in this digital age. Somehow, it is bridging the gap between the haves and the have-not’s. Whereas before we’d think twice about dining out because it is darn expensive, now it’s affordable to eat at the most in-demand restaurants in town with groupon deals as low as 70% off.

Admittedly, am one of those addicted to the groupon phenomenon. I’ve been buying a lot of noteworthy deals lately that I feel I need a secretary to keep track of all the coupons I bought, most of them on impulse and not really necessity. Tsk tsk :D

And just when am ready to rest from clicking the Buy button comes now another group buying site in the name of Brieo. As they say, the more the merrier. Brieo seeks to make a difference by highlighting only high quality merchants. They also vow not be as crowded as other groupons by featuring only one type of business on the Spotlight Deal and three other businesses in Featured Deals. This way, the consumer is not confused and it’s easier to navigate through the website.

Brieo.com gave bloggers a preview of their offerings by hosting a dinner at Big Bad Wolf, the newest restaurant in the Fort which is one of the Featured Deals on Brieo this week.

For only P464 instead of P1030, diners will have a sampling of Big Bad Wolf’s delectable Little Plates Appetizers shown below:

Bacon-wrapped Middle Eastern dates

Big Bad Wolf is located at Fairways Tower, Fort Bonifacio, 5th Ave. corner McKinley Parkway, Fort Bonifacio Global City (it’s in the same building as Ristras and Malcolm’s Deli).

How many group buying sites there are in Philippines? In Greece we have about 130 deal sites, the ones that are going really good are the 2-3 big ones, and the verticals (only for travel, or only for food). There is one, only for watches and is also doing ok!
