A group of young mobile app developers have launched the first Pinoy-themed game on iTunes and the Android Market. It is called SIPA or simply called street hacky sack. This game is a must-try because it reminds us of those good old days when Filipino street games like patintero, taguan, habulan, tumbang preso and luksong tinik ruled the day. HSBC Fun Run 2011 a success
I missed the HSBC Fun Run last November 26 because I was too tired from my own chicken run (pardon the pun). But I heard it was successful with close to 3,500 runners participating and P2 million raised for Sa Aklat Sisikat Foundation. The HSBC Fun Run featured 3k, 5k and 10k categories for adults, as well as sprint challenges for children 12 years old and below. I kissed my children today. Scouring the net for news about the aftermath of Storm Sendong, I chance upon some heartbreaking photos - Inconsolable grief is pictured in the face of this father who lost his child at the height of the typhoon. Storm Sendong kills hundreds in Mindanao: say a prayer
Storm Sendong (international code name: Washi) unleashed its fury in Mindanao in the early hours of December 16 while most people were sleeping. The death toll has reached 200, with close to 500 missing in the flashfloods caused by heavy rains.
