You could say one of the perks of being a blogger is being able to test out a few stuff (and in some cases, we get to keep them). I am able to know some products which I am not able to get acquainted with otherwise. Case in point are these Marshall headphones which landed in my lap recently. It was a case of like at first sight because it looked so well made and not cheap-looking at all (also, not cheap at a retail price of P4,650) . Plus I like the color white when it's beautifully made like this... There's a logo emblazoned with the word Marshall at the inner ... Continue Reading...

Corona conviction : senators vote 20-3 for guilty verdict
Like any normal citizen, I've been following developments in the Corona impeachment trial. Today was extra special because I actually exerted an effort to stay glued to the TV set to hear each senator (sitting as judge) deliver their explanation on why they chose to convict or acquit Chief Justice Renato Corona for violation of Article 2 (failure to fully disclose his assets in his SALN). And so it went that Miriam went ballistic, Villar waxed sentimental about the accusations thrown against him before and Lito Lapid admitted not knowing much about the law while ... Samsung Galaxy S3 launched in Manila
Samsung Philippines launched last night its super smartphone Galaxy S3 at the NBC Tent in Bonifacio Global City . I've already discussed before some of its features but just to give you an idea of its pricing, unlocked units will be sold at P32, 990 ( cheaper if bought in the gray market). Smart telecoms will offer the unit for free with Smart Unli Data Plan 2000 while for Globe, the Galaxy S3 is free with UnliSurf Plan 2499. Photo shows my old Galaxy S2 (left) with the new Galaxy S3 (in white). There's not much difference in size but the functions and ... Continue Reading...
Crumpler Dry Red No. 7 review
Am no stranger to Crumpler laptop bags. It's really worth it to shell out a little more than $100 for these bags because they're well made and can stand being so ruggedly used (like being placed in the luggage compartment of a bus or thrown around the airport scanner, for example). This Crumpler briefcase from the Dry Red series was my companion for weeks (too bad it's a review unit only). I often wear a black suit to the office but I felt confident enough to lug it around. Maybe because it was a beautiful red color. I used it mostly as a handbag, but there was ... Continue Reading...
‘Cue Modern Barbecue in Bonifacio High Street Central
'Cue is one of the successful restaurants in BHS Central at the moment. It gets packed, even on weekdays. We hear it from sources that 'Cue is owned by first-time restaurateurs. This convinces me of the fact that great-tasting food & good menu selection is the key! Warning! Don't go to 'Cue if you're a vegetarian or just starting your Cohen diet. You'll definitely suffer :) 'Cue is for die-hard carnivores (read: can't live without meat) and families or big groups who want to relish their comfort food like finger-lickin' ribs and more! Proof of the fact that ... Continue Reading...
