The details are all in her hot new website, krisaquino.net. The Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino, will be selling her authentic Chanel bags, designer frocks, shoes, books and other accessories in a charity bazaar to benefit Gawad Kalinga. As a fervent GK patron, Kris has so far built 40 homes for those in need of decent housing and she expects the number to go up with proceeds from her October bazaar. We espied some of the bags in Kris' Instagram and am sure the bagaholics among us will want to be the first to get hold of these, among other things - ... Continue Reading...

Private dining in Makati at Puey’s Penthouse
We loved our recent dining experience at Puey's Penthouse. It is nice to get away from the hustle & bustle of restaurants and feel like a guest in somebody else's home. Particularly if the private resto owner is also a fashion designer. You can shoot two birds with one stone. I had fun fitting on some of the clothes in Puey Quinones's bedroom prior to enjoying my five course meal :) Character is what the place has. First, the place is right smack in Makati Avenue's red light district. Familiar landmarks are the burger place Filling Station and a girlie bar teasingly ... Continue Reading...
Am giving away Torque phones!
It has been a long time since I sponsored giveaways in this space. And now, I found a valid reason to do so. I just wrote my 1500th post! Imagine that! It took me almost a decade to so... I've been blogging for eight long years, tee hee. It gives me reason enough to celebrate. Am glad that there's my suki, the mobile phone company Torque, to be ready with their freebies when needed. I like TORQUE. First, because of their price point (really affordable). Second, their no-frills phones do the job, they're durable! In case you don't know they have these Android tablets ... What we ate in Bicol
I love Bicolano food (spicy, often cooked with coconut milk) and I was glad to get a sampling .... in Bicol itself. First stop was Sibid Sibid Food Park which was near our hotel. This came highly recommended, and true enough, the food didn't disappoint. Servings were generous too, at a reasonable price. I feasted on this Tinutongang Hanit (mud crab with smoked coco milk & coco heart which was only P195 per serving (crabs are otherwise much more expensive in Manila.) I was surprised this dish wasn't spicy. Still, I savored every taste even though eating this ... Continue Reading...
Hotel St. Ellis : a gem in Legazpi City
After a nightmare of a bus ride, we were happy enough to check in at Hotel St. Ellis on Rizal St. Legazpi City. The inviting lobby bathed in soft hues didn't disappoint me, and more so when I saw the bedroom. This is their standard room which looked regal enough. I agree with one of the commenters in Foursquare who said " Beware of their pillows and bed, you might not want to get up for your early flight." There's something about the pillows in the room - so comfy! I guess the only thing that works against the room is that it doesn't have a bath tub. Also, I ... Continue Reading...
