So something like this hasn't happened for a long time. Because of severe flooding, airline passengers couldn't make it to their flights in Manila's four terminals. Planes in Terminals 3 and 4 couldn't take off as well because the ramps and runways were flooded. The only good news was that Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific waived rebooking fees for today, but expect their hotlines and counters to be crowded. Here's an updated list of domestic flight cancellations for today, August 20: Cebu Pacific flight cancellations: 5J-449 MNL-Iloilo 5J-450 ... Continue Reading...

Typhoon Maring in Manila flood photos
Had a terrible time this morning. At 3 am, I woke up to the sound of heavy, nonstop rains and even heavier thunder. I got up and peered through the kitchen window where I could see that the water level at our gate was non-threatening and went back to sleep. But in 30 minutes, a neighbor's ringing of our doorbell woke me up again. I checked the situation outside the house and panicked that some flood water already entered our garage! Greenwich Pizza Thins: a must-taste!
'twas one great party that Greenwich Pizza hosted last month to launch their exciting new product called Greenwich Pizza Thins! Trust us when we say that this new offering from Greenwich is a must-try & a must-taste :) The crispy, thin crust of this pizza just wins it for me. And right on the dot, ... Continue Reading...
Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard k400r
A computer keyboard is perhaps ignored by most as just one of those things that keeps a PC running. But am actually the type who's picky about it, crazy in a way that I expect it to behave like a human... tactile, responsive and compatible with my fingers. How do I know? I just know it by feel when I touch it and type on it for the first time :) These days you can probably get some cheapo USB keyboard from places like CDR King (that's where I got my spare one the last time). But I couldn't resist the Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard k400r when it was offered to me ... Continue Reading...
Gundam docks at Hong Kong!
More of HK: after the rubber ducky, there is a 'Gundam docks at Hong Kong!' exhibit ongoing at Times Square in Causeway Bay until Sept. 1. This is one to delight the kids, the young at heart and of course the countless fans of the Gundam series from all over. Are you? Char's Zaku towers at something like 23 feet. RX-78-2, also approximately 23 feet, just outside of Lane Crawford. It's the largest ever found outside of Japan where the biggest 59-foot model could be found. ... Continue Reading...
