From Ozone on the 118th floor, I pressed the elevator button to the 102nd floor and felt the tingling in my ears from the change in pressure. It was like a Taipei 101 moment all over again. And I was thinking: for all the excellent food now surrounding Manila, skyscraper (not just high-rise) dining is what's missing in our city. But it should definitely come true in the future. Tosca on the 102nd floor of The Ritz-Carlton is named after the well-known opera by Giacomo Puccini. The resto's decor theme is Romanesque with its high ceilings, stately chandeliers, ... Ozone : Asia’s highest bar on 118F, Ritz-Carlton
I spent the July 27 weekend in Hong Kong and it was quite memorable. First, because it was my newly-minted Samsung Galaxy Mega's baptism of fire. Was certainly glad to be using the phone's 6.3 inch super clear LCD screen to capture these stunning views of the HK skyline, Victoria Harbour and outlying islands. Going back to Club Punta Fuego
The rains have come in this part of town. It makes me wax nostalgic about the summer's last hurrah spent in Peninsula de Punta Fuego on the shores of Nasugbu, Batangas. The ride can be a daunting three hours but it gets scenic along the way, and more so because you also pass by Tagaytay. Of course it also gets comfortable if you've got an airconditioned van and a driver like we did on this trip. Seeing Punta Fuego's iconic infinity pool stretching out to the vastness of the South China Sea makes you understand why the mega-rich bought property on this land. It's ... Continue Reading...
