Congrats Bea Rose Santiago!
In what is called a grand slam year for Filipino beauty queens, we were happy to learn last night that Bea Rose Santiago was crowned Miss International in Tokyo. It seemed only a few weeks ago that I met Bea Rose again at the Rexona Do More awards (the first was at the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 presentation where she wasn't a title holder yet). That Saturday had me driving from Parañaque to Quezon City but thankfully there was no traffic on EDSA. The lengths I travel to eat in a new place! Harina Artisan Bakery Cafe used to be Monsee's but I never even got to try Monsee's. Since my whole family loves bread, I like the whole Harina idea of baking bread in a traditional way, lovingly handrolled and using no chemical additives. 19-year old Canadian superstar Justin Bieber just became the most active Hollywood celebrity to help the victims of super typhoon Haiyan by personally going to the Philippines to oversee his own aid efforts.
