Am a city girl at heart. I love the bustle, vibe, energy and opportunities of living in a cosmopolitan place. Perhaps when I get much older, I could think of retiring near the mountains or the sea. However, circumstances dictate that Manila is our home right now because this is where work is and where the kids study.
In the ideal world, your workplace, residence and recreation facilities will co-exist in one area so that you won’t have to cope with the stresses of urban living such as traffic and long commutes. It seems this is no longer just a dream with leading developer Megaworld Corp.’s thrust in building masterplanned township communities. It’s a complete lifestyle concept where residents can Live, Work, Play, Learn and Shop in one dynamic, delightful environment!
A fine example is McKinley Hill, Megaworld’s largest township development with a landbank of 50 hectares in the prime spot that’s Fort Bonifacio. Continuously escalating land values and rental rates give investors the highest return for their buck.
Located in this area are: 4 foreign embassies (South Korea, UK, United Arab Emirates and Qatar), 3 international schools, 15 office buildings (including BPOs), and 90 restaurants/ commercial stores. When fully developed, McKinley Hill will be home to 34 residential condominiums, 482 residential lots and 4,716 apartments…aside from all those mentioned above.
Through the #iloveMKH media tour recently, bloggers like us were given a glimpse of the Mediterranean design and taste of European living that McKinley Hill offers.
“It’s a holistic lifestyle with all the elements of Live, Work, Play, Learn and Shop present right within the community itself,” pointed out Ms. Nicole Adarme, Head of Marketing Communications for Megaworld at the Fort. ” We are advocating a relaxed and convenient way of life, and there’s no better way to do this than through an immersive experience so that bloggers can inspire others and share what it’s like to live here.”
For the LIVE component of the tour, we stopped by The Venice Luxury Residences which consists of seven towers at 22 to 31 storeys each.Only two towers have been built so far but it will dazzle with its Venetian architecture when completed, as there will be gondolas and a Grand Canal with a mall …. just like in Venice!
Up next, WORK! Almost everyone needs a cuppa joe before starting with the daily grind in the mornings so we stopped by Black Canyon Coffee for a full breakfast. This is located in the metro’s latest restaurant strip called the Tuscany at McKinley Hill. I’ve written about Tuscany before and I love this row for its well-curated line-up of restaurants and bars. Residents will not have to go too far.
LEARN was one educational part of our #iloveMKH experience because we got to have hands-on lessons in the world-class campus of Enderun Colleges. This school is affiliated with the Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Switzerland, Ducasse Education in France and Thunderbird School of Global Management in the US. Who knew such a prestigious institution existed right there in McKinley Hill? Again, we don’t have to go too far to get internationally-recognized education.
For our hands-on learning that day, we joined the Culinary Bootcamp class of Chef Martin Punzalan and enjoyed every minute learning about precious tips and tricks in the kitchen. As a result, we were able to make this gourmet-style Beef Tenderloin Rossini with Pan Seared Foie Gras on a bed of risotto. It was truly delish…my mom would be proud! 🙂
After working and learning, can PLAY be far behind? The Dutchess Haven Nail Salon & Spa was our next stop for a round of destressing. Located in Morgan Suites, Upper McKinley Hill, this was one dainty spa where one can have facials, massages, slimming treatments and of course, the usual mani/pedi.
SHOP! was the last part of our tour and spent it in the spacious McKinley Hill Information Center. The analogy was not lost on me because shopping for real-life investments like a condominium unit for as low as P3 million (preselling) in this prime area is the one that matters. It’s a serious, once-in-a-lifetime investment that could provide you with the highest yields!
This 23 sq.m. studio model unit at The Viceroy amazed me because it was expertly space planned and of course the interiors were fab 😉 This development is ideal for young professionals or beginning investors as it is priced at below P3 million and can be acquired at flexible payment terms, even for as low as P15,000 a month…just ask a sales agent.
Another classy bedroom showcase in The Florence which is McKinley Hill’s first gated garden community of three towers and touted to be its ‘most private residential condominium.’ This is scheduled for turnover in 2017 to 2018 with 1 to 3-bedroom units spanning floor areas of from 43.1 to 94.7 square meters. Unit owners enjoy individual balconies overlooking lush greenery and flowers.
More ‘inspiring’ apartment pics….
Even the toilets are gorge…
The Megaworld tour that day did convince me that it’s possible to Live. Work. Play. Learn. Shop…all in one place! Moral lesson: after a lifetime of working, it’s wise to put your money where it matters and give your family a taste of the good life.We can’t go wrong investing in McKinley Hill’s masterplanned township and savor the Mediterranean lifestyle right here in Manila. As far as this real estate development is concerned, the best is yet to come!
**Thanks to our hosts, Megaworld SVP Noli Hernandez and the sales & marketing team, Nicole Adarme and the PR & Communications Group for a challenging and fun-filled event 😉
