Kids’ costumes at Halloween 2014 in Manila

October 31, 2014 ·

A surprising turn: I seemed to be more excited with Halloween this year than Christmas which is now 55 days away! Blame it on The Toddler who likes to a) dress up and b) eat candies like there's no toothache tomorrow. Am mostly an onlooker and I really like Halloween for the creative effort and variety behind all the costumes. I can't even imagine how some people make a 'career' out of it, even the adults.Manila's Halloween parties are the most fun there is. For Lucia, the fun started with a Trick or Treat event in my workplace. We just picked out a 'goddess' ... Continue Reading...

Halloween in Eastwood City!

October 29, 2014 ·

This 2014, we're targetting Eastwood City as the place to celebrate our Halloween holidays. I like its open spaces, specialty shops, assortment of restaurants, not to mention the fact that the whole place is pet- and family friendly! It's particularly interesting that Eastwood is offering Halloween Food Bizarre, where restos offer limited edition Halloween dishes, from now until Nov. 2. Spotted: Momo Café’s 'deliciously devilish' Eyeball Meatball in black ink cappellini pasta... Classic Halloween cupcakes from Jack's Loft! On the other hand, ... Continue Reading...

Rexona #RunToYourBeat2014 highlights & photos!

October 26, 2014 ·

An estimated 10,000 (or more) people participated in today's Rexona Run 2014. The last time I joined was in 2011 and this activity has definitely improved by leaps and bounds. The bigger turnout means I could not even find parking in the open grounds. Going around Mall of Asia made me late for the unholy 3:45 a.m. gun start. Best to take a taxi or call an Uber service next time :) Rexona Run 2014 was simply awesome and extraordinary because of the presence of the music-themed tunnels, namely Retro, Hip Hop and EDM. It was like being transported into another world as ... Continue Reading...

October 26, 2014 ·

Samsung's best phone of the season landed in Manila yesterday...oh wait, it's not just a phone but a phablet. There was a long line among consumers who wanted to get first dibs of the much-acclaimed Galaxy Note 4 at the Mall of Asia. They were either walk-ins or reserved online, and the first 4 to make the web reservation even got their device for free. We say yay! because Samsung Philippines announced the introductory price for the Note 4 is at a hefty P37,990, for those not availing of a telco plan.
