Celebrate Father’s Day at these fine dining restos

Some of the metro’s best fine dining restos are laying out the red carpet for the man of the house on June 21 which is Father’s Day.

At Chateau 1771 in Greenbelt 5, treat Dad and get a free Business Lunch Gift Certificate he can use on his next visit. The offer is good until August 20, 11am-2pm, anytime between Monday to Friday.

For the free business lunch, choose from these starters: the Ploughman’s Salad of mixed greens in Italian vinaigrette, cold cuts, pickles, carrot and celery sticks with blue cheese crumble or the Seafood Quenelle Soup, a clear seafood broth with tender and flavorful white fish dumplings.

For the main course, the choices are: U.S. Wagyu Beef Cheeks, slow braised with carrots and onions in sherry vinegar and red wine, served with smooth potato puree; Pan Seared Alaskan Cod Fillet with ginger soy glaze, pineapple rice, bell pepper and red onion slaw; Grilled King Prawns rubbed with paprika and Dijon mustard with boiled broccoli and creamed quinoa; and Chicken Supreme, chicken breast with wing, stuffed and drizzled with herb butter and served with fried golden brown smashed potato.

For the desserts, choose between the Amaretto Meringue or Banana and Strawberry Flambé.

Meanwhile, Chef Jessie at the Rockwell Club has a Father’s Day menu at P1,700 + 10% per person. Dad also gets a special gift. The meal for kids 5-10 years old is at P850++.

The sit-down menu includes Mesclun and Micro Green Salad with Mango Chevre in Vinaigrette Dressing; Seared Jumbo Scallop topped with Pan Fried Goose Liver on Creamy Fettucine; Clear Essence of Wild Game with Herbed Dumplings and Lemon Sorbet.

For the main course, choose between Roast U.S. Black Angus Rib-Eye in Bordelaise Sauce or Baked Chilean Sea Bass Fillet with Mediterranean Sauce served with Potato and Leek Gratin and Sautéed French Beans.

Finish the meal with Dark Chocolate and Coffee Slice and a cup of coffee or tea.

Over at l’entrecôte Corner Bistro in Burgos Circle, Bonifacio Global City, order the 21-ounce Certified Angus Tomahawk Rib Bone Steak with a choice of sidings and sauce and get a complimentary glass of Layer Cake 2012 Malbec from Argentina. Extremely dense and concentrated, opaque purple, almost black in color, Layer Cake 2012 Malbec leaves on the palate layers of savory fruit, spice notes, espresso and dark chocolate as well as a rich, creamy texture.
