Earth Kitchen at BHS Central, BGC

Earth Kitchen

I’ve always wanted to check out Earth Kitchen in Katipunan but being from the South, the location was far from me. I was thrilled to learn that they’ve opened in bustling Bonifacio Global City, and got an invite to try their specialties no less.

As a purveyor of farm-to-table cuisine, dining at Earth Kitchen is always for a good cause since they support the Got Heart Farms in Tarlac. There are other communities from Luzon to Mindanao where they source the ingredients. The emphasis is on healthy, organic produce that’s free from GMOs, pesticides and other harmful stuff.

It was Friday night when we dined and the restaurant was surprisingly full, even though they’re still on their soft opening. My friends and I were famished and we had this Fish & Mango appetizer dish (P230) to satisfy our palate before the main event.

Chunks of loro fillet were smothered in delicious chili plum sauce then topped with slices of sweet mangoes.

Dining at Earth Kitchen would be incomplete without ordering salads. We had this duo of Pomelo Salad (P360) and the Watermelon & Rocket Salad (P300). The latter was more to my liking. The addition of native cheese, pili nuts & balsamic dressing made it all irresistible.

The Shrimp Spring Rolls with lime hoisin dip (P220 for regular) are also a must-try…

Earth Kitchen

Beef kebab (P410) with tzatziki, grilled vegetables and flour tortilla. The meat was really tender and juicy.

The pastas can complete your meal at Earth Kitchen. I highly recommend the Mushroom Ravioli (P400) with a filling of native white cheese, shiitake and more pili nuts. This one was really tasty. Honestly, I never thought our local Philippine cheese can be up to par with foreign ones in terms of taste and quality.

For more adventurous tastebuds, there’s the Scallops & Aligue squid ink pasta (P480) This looked so tempting when served, look at all that generous serving of seafood. However, this failed to catch my fancy when I tried. We do have our individual preferences and I rather leaned towards the cheesy pasta I earlier mentioned in our meal…

The pitcher of guyabano juice was our official refresher (P280). I was also eyeing this drink called Got Heart Mix which consists of chia seeds, kale, pineapple, cucumber and honey but maybe will try that next time.

My friends and I ate a lot of food at this point. Our only consolation is that it was all healthy and naturally-sourced 🙂

…. but yes, we still had room for dessert. The goat cheese ice cream (P280) with wild honey, dried figs and cashew nuts was divine!

Earth Kitchen

We all know healthy restaurants are all the rage right now. Am glad there are places like Earth Kitchen to expand their offerings to the public. Heads up to their pricing…eating organic need not be as expensive as you think.
