Burger King ‘Grill & Chill Cookout’ with Tom Rodriguez

When it comes to setting the standards for the true, American spirit burger, Burger King – or BK to most of us – has got its image down pat. It is 100 % beef, flame-grilled, and possesses those grill marks as a sign of all the juicy goodness sealed in.

In the words of Burger King’s endorser in the Philippines, Tom Rodriguez, “BK is the #MARKSBETTER burger because it’s got the true beef taste in every bite!”

Last September 1, Tom, together with host Sam YG, BK officials and brand ambassadors topbilled the Grill and Chill Cookout in BK’s Tiendesitas branch.

The venue was transformed into a demo kitchen in one corner where Edward Vergara, the winner of the International Whopper Challenge showed his skills at assembling a Whopper burger in 12 seconds.

BK’s latest burger variant, the Angry Whopper, was also introduced. Generously topped with onions, jalapenos and some fiery sauce, we dare say this burger is for those who want to level up their tastebuds to another level.

As for Tom, he apprised fans and onlookers about his latest projects and why he took on the task of being BK’s endorser.

“I like authenticity—staying true to yourself, being honest,” he said. “And that is what the Whopper is all about: an honest-to-goodness flame-grilled burger on a soft sesame seed bun.

Topped with juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce, mayonnaise, ketchup, crunchy pickles, and sliced white onions, a BK burger becomes an irresistible treat. It definitely is the #MARKSBETTER, #MARKSMASARAP burger.”

Okay, we can take Tom’s word for it….because Burger King is one of our favorites too. 🙂
