So please mark the date: October 24, Saturday, 4:30 pm at the Mercato Centrale venue, 7th Ave cor. 25th St. Bonifacio Global City in Taguig.

This one day program is being undertaken by Knorr in collaboration with its partners, World Food Program and Kabisig.

According to statistics, there are at least 5 million malnourished children in the Philippines. Realizing this, Knorr conceived an initiative to fight malnutrition by promoting the importance of healthy,home-cooked meals – lovingly prepared by moms themselves!

In this regard, Knorr partnered with Kabisig ng Kalahi for the Metro Manila leg of the initiative, to build a sustainable nutrition program that goes beyond simply distributing food. Proper emphasis was placed on mothers taking the time to prepare meals focused on a healthy, balanced diet in their homes.

“Feeding our families nutritious food doesn’t have to be expensive. What’s important is that we give them a well-balanced meal every day,” declared Knorr ambassador Carmina Villaroel.

With guidance from the celebrity moms like Chesca Kramer, Danica Sotto-Pingris and Sari Jorge, the women in participating communities are taught how to cook from recipes provided by Knorr, with precious cooking tips and secrets thrown in between.

One mother admitted that whereas she used to buy food with little consideration for its nutritional value, now she makes sure that vegetables and other healthy ingredients are included in the meals she whips up for her household.
