Harbour City, Hong Kong’s biggest shopping and dining mall, recently launched its annual Chocolate Trail event featuring 30 well-known chocolate brands from all over the world.
Chocolate connoisseurs will surely delight in the tasting menus of the Chocolate Trail Cafe which has a European train station theme. Savor luxe Domori bars from Italy and pair it with single malt whisky from Glen Moray (HKD$60) or HK’s very own dark chocolate Homie cookies with English breakfast tea from Wedgwood Tea Bar (HKD$30).
Meticulously hand-crafted sculptures will also adorn the Gateway Arcade Corridor in an exhibition by two award-winning chocolatiers – Belgian Marijn Coertjens of the Peninsula Hong Kong and Roger Fok of JW Marriott HK. Both men were cited at the prestigious World Chocolate Masters competition held at the Salon du Chocolat in Paris last year.
Italy’s famous Ferrero Rocher” contributed the “Ferrero Gallery” Art Exhibition at Gallery by the Harbour. It featured a live chef demonstration and a historic cross-category collaboration with Asia’s celebrated makeup artist, Zing.
For its customers, Harbour City collaborated with The Artist to open the ‘Personalized Chocolate Experience Zone’ at Atrium I of Gateway Arcade. Patrons can personalize the chocolates and boxes with their own photos. During the weekends of the promotional period, upon a donation of HK$120 to Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation, customers can get a limited edition 2-piece chocolate charity box set where one can print a personal photo on the chocolate.
