After Xiaomi, Lazada Philippines will be the exclusive retail portal of another Chinese smartphone brand which goes by the name of Elephone. Boasting of top-of-the-line specifications at affordable price points, the cheapest unit will go for only P3,999 while a high-end model powered by an 8-core chipset will be offered for P11,499. The Elephones (no pun intended) will officially go on sale at lazada.com.ph on Monday, April 18 at exactly 12 noon. Save the date!
Only three Elephone models will be made available and these are the Elephone S1, Elephone P8000 and Elephone P9000. The full line-up, with their technical specifications, are as follows:
Noting that such features as wireless charging and fingerprint touch ID running on octacore processor and the latest Android Marshmallow have never been offered by cheaper smartphones before, Mr. Jingui Ji, Chief Executive Officer of HK Elephone Communication Tech Co. Limited said: “We are launching three models which we feel could strongly change how Filipinos appreciate smartphones. This is just the first step as we are poised to offer more exciting products through Lazada in the coming months.”
Meanwhile, Inanc Balci, Co-Founder and CEO of Lazada Philippines expressed optimism about their new partnership, saying it will be a perfect addition to Lazada’s range of smartphone brands. He added that Lazada chose to partner with Elephone because of its market following in Europe and Southeast Asia.
“Their impressive portfolio and the cutting edge features of Elephone models are something to contend with,” Balci added.
