Whenever we talk, some of my fellow moms complain how difficult it is to dress the kids because the latter’s so choosy with what they wear. Thankfully, I’ve never had a problem with any of my children.
But of course the No. 1 rule for fashion no matter what the age is to always stay on the safe side: nothing too loud, ostentatious or overly cutesy.
I was certainly happy to discover Zippy – a leading kids’ apparel brand from Portugal which has now set up shop in Manila. It was love at first sight when my 6 year old daughter and I previewed the line at their first store in Glorietta 3. We certainly dig the dainty colors, the clean designs and the quality workmanship of the clothes. Quality is a must because of the rough and tumble world the kids move in.
Zippy has a complete fashion line for infants up to ‘tweens’ aged 14 years old. For Spring-Summer, part of the collection evokes the vintage vibe with colors that look aged or washed out, with an endearing handmade finish.
Most of the clothes are in lovable pastels or bright tones that evoke the mood of spring and the casualness of laid-back locations like the beach.
A big factor why am liking Zippy is their affordable pricing. I realized that I really don’t have to spend a fortune for our little girl since she seems to outgrow her clothes fast. Zippy really fits the bill when it comes to stylish choices for the young ‘uns, not to mention their line-up is easy on the pocket too.
In this OOTD, the Minnie Mouse Shirt is P529, denim jeggings – P659 and high-cut pink shoes, P1399. Can’t wait for Zippy to go on sale too 😉
Here’s my darling, ready for the weekend in the dog cafe. And as Demi Lovato would sing: ‘cool for the summer’ …. in Zippy!
