Naxional South American Diner is another colorful, hip place that has opened in Bonifacio Global City or BGC. In fact, so hip that Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach had her birthday celebration here this week. On weekends, one can also easily spot those expats and good-looking Brazilian models who have made Manila their home. But that's not really the point because the resto transports one to vibrant South America from its interiors alone, dominated by brick walls and eye catching murals or paintings. And on that day in August when they opened Naxional to the ... Continue Reading...

Sugar Factory of Las Vegas is now open in BGC!
Sugar Factory American Brasserie is the latest foreign restaurant chain to set up shop in Manila and is now open at the ground level High Street Park of Shangri-La at the Fort in Bonifacio Global City (BGC). The resto is an import from Las Vegas and New York City where it has gained celebrity status because of its couture lollipops, sizzling candy-themed cocktails and good old comfort food. Everything's unique and is a must-try! In my hands: Sugar Factory's dulce de leche milkshake in a chocolate-covered mug adorned with popcorn, and the s'mores martini. ... Continue Reading...
The store that forever tickles our fancy is now open in Megamall
One thing for sure: cuteness never goes out of style. And people of my generation (okay, let's not talk so much about ages here) will be so familiar with Tickles. Up close with Nigella Lawson for Contadina
The good thing with this craft called blogging is the chance to see world-famous celebrities up close. In 2013, I had the great fortune of shaking the hands of my peg in Sex & the City, Sarah Jessica Parker, for the opening of SM Aura. Now that it's 2016, we got the chance to be in the same room with celebrity food author Nigella Lawson, in an exclusive lunch as they would call it. That's because she's the endorser of Contadina, the Italian-inspired food line being brought to the Philippines for the first time by Del Monte. Nigella was a very lovely woman and to ...
