It’s been almost a year since Annam Noodle Bar – our favorite go-to fix for Vietnamese food in Manila – opened in Eastwood City. See my intro blog post here. I haven’t really visited again since the location is far from where we live. Imagine my relief when I learned that Annam was opening in Resorts World Manila which is less than 30 minutes away from home. I was suddenly salivating for all the pho and banh mi I missed! 🙂
The new Annam Noodle Bar branch is quite airy. We rather liked sitting outside and enjoy the spot overlooking the Resorts World atrium on the second floor with its sun roof. A glorious way to savor the sunny weather the Philippines is blessed with.
Anyway, what’s good with Annam now is that they now have a full lineup of rice dishes to add to their bestselling delights like pho and banh mi.
Worth ordering is the Shaking Beef in Pepper Hoisin Sauce (P450) where we saw the full recipe in Jane’s Kitchen Miracles. The dish is served with egg and thick-cut fries. This was really tasty and the meat itself was unbelievably tender.
The other rice plates include Crispy Fried Pork Chop with classic Vietnamese steamed egg meatloaf, Twice-cooked Australian Beef Brisket with Imperial Roll, Fried Fish Fillet in Tomato-Turmeric Sauce with Prawn Sugarcane; and Sauteed Pork Belly with Prawns and Fried Egg.
The Banh Mi at Annam Noodle Bar is just so satisfying. It can really make your day with the amazing baguette and fillings! There are three new sandwich varieties to choose from – Twice-Cooked Australian Beef Brisket, Crispy Fried Turmeric Chicken and Smoked Salmon with Tofu and Cream Cheese.
Foodie tip: head on over to Annam Noodle Bar RW from 2 to 5 pm for Viet CaPhe Tea Time. Pay only P200 for a drink and your choice of banh mi. Or order the caramelized fried wings with fries at the same price.
In appetizer options, Annam’s new offerings include Chicken and Assorted Crackers, Crispy Chicken Bites with Sriracha Mayonnaise, Banh Bar Buns and this refreshing Pomelo Salad with Prawns. Yum yum.
There are new drinks on the house as well. It includes Mango-Pineapple Sparkling, Passion Soursop Sparkling and Lime-Lychee Sparkling. The Salted caramel Banana Iced Coffee is also a must-try, along with the Pandan-Red Bean Iced Milk Tea.
Busog lusog at the Annam fiesta 🙂
Was so engrossed talking to my table mates Alexei, Karen and Mr. eater.ph that I didn’t realize lunchtime became 4pm. Oh well, that’s how you can have food and fun at Annam Noodle Bar – one of the best places to cure one’s Vietnamese food cravings in Manila.
