VFW food With barely two hours' drive on the spanking new stretch of the North Luzon Expressway, there's no reason why Angeles City shouldn't be the must have/must eat there! foodie destination. I used to think that this city had just about sunk to oblivion with the closure of the US military bases in Clark as I saw the run-down buildings and the isolated bars on Fields Avenue but I proved to be mistaken. If you're motivated enough, you'd realize why the cabalens reign supreme when it comes to food, boasting of - not just their irresistible Kapampangan ... Continue Reading...
Forget-your-diet, ultimate food trip to Angeles City, Pampanga
My blog amnesia must have really gotten so bad when I get trans-continental phone calls and YM messages asking me "what happened??" It's only been more than a week since I last posted and yet friends and dear readers already think it's not normal. Yeah, you're probably right: am suffering from sort of blog withdrawal syndrome. Enter Gumbo, the latest New Orleans-themed resto found at the 2nd level ... Continue Reading...
Som gyup sal & mul neng myun at The Pork Room
Som No, I don't think there's any similarity between my favorite Japanese food and Korean food. The former I think is simple and artistic, the latter leans more on the "eclectic." Maybe it's because my tongue is not yet attuned to Korean food. There's always an element of surprise whenever I munch on kimchi, or marvel at the variety of sauces, dips and veggies laid out before me, like an intricate ceremony. It certainly felt surreal when I visited The Pork Room in Malate (it was on Jorge Bocobo, I think). As far as I know this Korean hole-in-the-wall is ... Continue Reading...

Too bad I don't get to eat it everyday How do you take your coffee/tea: Coffee: Brewed. Two sachets brown sugar. A little cream. Tea: I just dunk the tea bag and go!
