1. The 'pasalubong' is king. Admit it, there's nothing more Pinoy than our pasalubong (take home) mentality. Am not saying it's negative, I just find it amusing that there are some things my family or friends associate with a certain place and they expect you to bring it home when you go a-travelling, be it otap from Cebu, bangus from Pangasinan, buko pie from Laguna, pili nut from Bicol or even giant crabs from Palawan. As expected, during my last trip to HK, my friends were also badgering me about what pasalubong I brought home. Darn, what was I supposed to answer ... Continue Reading...
20 things about my trip to HK
Jollibee HK 1. Dimsum for breakfast 2. Dimsum for lunch 3. & dimsum for dinner.. isn't such a bad idea. 4. Must have tasted 20 kinds of dimsum all in all. 5. The sight of Jollibee side by side with the carinderia food in Little Quiapo looked surreal. I wouldn't be caught dead eating Chicken Joy in HK but I have this weird habit of eating at McDonald's (or KFC) in every country am in. ... Continue Reading...

Me in LMCyberport The flight was delayed for 30 minutes and it felt like I was in a microwave oven in that CX plane (hot, hot, hot!)but I am finally in HK. From the airport, we took the Express Train (fare:P600) then a taxi to our hotel which our host warned was "in the middle of nowhere." What do you know, it's the coolest, funkiest place I've ever stayed in. I am simply in love with the Le Meridien Cyberport, and am glad it will be my home for the next three days. These are the things I adore: the hip, contemporary designs; the view of the bay from my ... Continue Reading...
