My busy schedule these days has made me give up all hopes of going through another round of baking experiments. But still I wanted to join the monthly food blogging event, Sugar High Friday #8, hosted by Alice of My Adventures in the Breadbox. The theme’s Pucker Up With Citrus. In the run-up to SHF #8, I was glad to stumble upon an old recipe of Filipina baking maven Dorothy Ferreria on Candied Yams which calls for the fair use of orange juice, orange rind , orange marmalade and calamansi lime for its tasty, syrupy glaze. While highlighting local ingredients, this simple dessert was no sweat to prepare besides – ideal for on-the-go persons like me.
