You’re probably stuck in the 90s if you’re still watching movies in DVD in this day and age.Okay, we understand. After all, DVDs cost only 50 pesos from your friendly “pirate” on the street.
The truth is, your good ol’ dibidi is apt for your old boxy CRT TV but no longer the present generation of LCD and 3D TVs. It’s all simple: what’s the point of having a high-tech, state-of-the-art TV if you’re taking forever to download from the torrents or still watching in DVDs that skip and scratch (or worse, pirated?) The solution? Choose Blu-Ray!
Blu-Ray is the highest quality video format now available but it’s adoption by the public has been sidelined by the steep cost of those genuine Blu ray discs (from P1200 to P1500 each).
Taking cognizance of the problem, Samsung and Tradeport E-Solutions Inc. have banded together to offer the Samsung BluPass promo.
Available from August 15, 2011 to December 31, 2011, any customer who purchases a Samsung Blu-ray player or Samsung Flat Panel TV (LED, LCD, and Plasma TV) that comes with a Blu-ray player package, will automatically receive a Samsung BluPass card.
What’s in the card?
1. For six months, you will be able to rent out high-quality regular and 3D Blu-ray titles from a vast online library of movies, and audio-visual entertainment for FREE!”
2. Blu-ray discs will be delivered by TradePort messenger right at your doorstep without any extra cost.
3. After six months, pay only a minimal membership fee (as low as P2,990 a year, unlimited rentals, one disc at a time)
Once you have your BluPass, register online at the Tradeport website at www.tradeport.com.ph, click BluPass
Browse from the library and make your selection(s).
The titles (discs) will be returned and delivered via Air21. You will only be entitled to borrow another disc if you return the previous items.
Samsung and Tradeport officials deliver the good news in a presscon:
This is certainly good news. We’re excited! 😀
