I’ve been lovin’ Converse Chucks because they take me back to those glorious college days. Ten jobs, being a mom and what feels like a gazillion years later, am still wearing sneakers and it sort of reminds me that some things never change.
Classic is the best word to describe a Converse. Colors, patterns and designs may change with each season but you can still spot what makes this footwear an icon from a mile away. During the recent Spring Summer 2016 Press Preview, I was glad to make the acquaintance of this Chuck Taylor All Star II Mono. It came in two styles (high top and low top) as well as two colors (black and white). I am certainly not complaining about what I got. It just looks so dainty in my eyes!
There’s something about Converse sneakers that defies circumstance and time. Surely, you cannot wear one for a formal occasion but you can sport your sneakers in a lot of ways according to your preference and imagination. It could be with a button down dress, skirt, shorts, track suit, heck even a maxi summer outfit. I chose to be traditional and wore my All Star Mono 2 in white tee and denim.
