One of today’s most popular young actresses, Andrea Brillantes, is the newest face of Asvel Philippines. The brand boasts of a line of high quality home, kitchen and dining products from Japan. Andrea follows the footsteps of Ms. Kris Aquino who is the original endorser of Asvel (see our older post here)
At the Asvel launch, the young and talented Andrea did a song number and greeted her countless fans who came all the way to SM North Edsa The Block in Quezon City just to see her.The 16 year old artist said she uses Asvel food containers for the munchies she brings to her showbiz tapings. She loves the variety of compartments in the Asvel lunch boxes and how they keep the food warm and fresh. A famous person like Andrea is also human like the rest of us, they also bring baon to work 😀
Aside from getting the chance to see Andrea up close, fans and media guests like me were treated to an informative bento making workshop led by Ms. Kaye Catral of Bento Mommas. It has always been my dream to make a bento lunch box for Lucia but am always busy and quite disheartened by the fact that it all looks complicated!
But thanks to the Asvel X Bento Mommas workshop, I might finally find the willpower to make a bento prep meal one of these days, lol.Look how cute and pretty food is when they’re turned into bento –
Take the fuss out of making bento by preparing everything the night before, said the Bento Mommas. For example, cooked rice can be packed in those resealable plastic sandwich bags for easy shaping.
Likewise, opt for veggies and fruits that can stand on their own or can be easily pre-cut. In the case of fruits like pears, apples and bananas, prevent them from oxidizing or changing color by dipping them in lemon juice of clear soda like Sprite or 7-Up.
Now, am inspired to prep more food with my growing collection of Asvel lunch containers. I love how they have proper insulation, are leak-proof, BPA free, and are microwave/dishwasher safe, among other outstanding features.
