Crumpler is a brand I've always relied on for the sturdy protection of my gadgets. It's been three years already and am still using the two brightly-colored laptop bag and case from Crumpler to carry my Macbook. True that their products are a bit more expensive but you get safe portability and functionality in return. By coincidence, I was sent items of Crumpler accessories to review: a bag tag called Limpet, a pencil case named Carrot and a camera strap called Noose. All attractive names, isn't it? I welcomed this review since the Crumpler accessories line is ... Continue Reading...
Accessorize pre Christmas sale ….. yippee!
Don't you just love Accessorize? I do. It's my go-to place for bling-blings and other cutesy things. Sure you can find cheaper accessories elsewhere, but the items I've bought from Accessorize have so far earned raves from my women friends. You know you've succeeded in accessorizing because they will ask: "that necklace is lovely, where did you buy that?" And now, here's something I can't resist. I will surely line up for this one. THREE DAYS ONLY :) I recently attended the opening of their new store in the ground floor of Midtown wing of Robinsons Ermita and ... Continue Reading...
Spotted: Hello Kitty
Even now that am officially middle-aged :) my heart still melts at the sight of Hello Kitty. Am not an avid collector like some girls, but I try to take photos everytime I see evidence of Kitty madness. Like this Hello Kitty Lounge at the Taipei Taoyuan International Airport bathed in pink and other bright colors - I still would like to see the Hello Kitty rooms at this hotel in Taiwan. Then I went shopping at the Noel Discovery Bazaar 2011 at the PICC Forum Tent yesterday and saw this Hello Kitty car at the parking lot. Joy, joy, joy! Am not sure if I can ... Continue Reading...
Divisoria shopping with Mama Sita
I think it's crazy to go to Divisoria at this time of year! Everybody's flocking to Manila's best bargain haven to buy gifts, food and other stuff for the holidays. Just the same, I joined a Divisoria shopping trip sponsored by Mama Sita Mixes & Sauces last December 1 and survived with the skin of my teeth. Am exaggerating :) The crowds weren't so bad during that time (maybe because it was raining) and I was glad to see certain areas of Divi that I didn't see before. Here's our group pic. We met at the famous Roxas Boulevard landmark, Aristocrat Restaurant, which is ... Continue Reading...
Moonlit Bazaar @ Rockwell: shopping finds
So bazaar season is here, and you know what this means right? The shopping madness begins! I love bazaars for last minute Christmas shopping and being a haven of unique finds. There's always something here that I can't find elsewhere and if you're lucky, you can even haggle and bring the price down. Of course you can also go to a bargain paradise like Divisoria, but it gets too crowded there at this time of year. A bazaar becomes your bet for being accessible, safer and with airconditioning to boot! A week ago, the family found ourselves in Rockwell Powerplant Mall ... Continue Reading...
