If you were anywhere near Quezon Avenue last June 26, you probably heard the music, saw the rainbow lights, or caught a glimpse of a dazzling drag queen strutting past the crowd. That’s because Fisher Mall Quezon Avenue just hosted its first-ever Pride Month celebration.

Titled “Pride Without Borders,” the one-day event transformed the mall into a vibrant, inclusive space for celebration, expression, and empowerment.
A Stage Full of Stars
Top-tier entertainment was provided by Amazing Chalita, Venus, Winter Sheason Nicole, Shewarmaa, and Tomboy Philippines. They lit up the Fisher Mall stage with energy and charisma and balanced the Pride celebration with purpose.
From Lip Sync Charades to the cheeky (and crowd-favorite) Love Puksaan, the event kept guests laughing, clapping, and fully engaged. And then came the Pride Walk, which felt more like a statement that the mall is inclusive to a T.
HIV Advocacy
Fisher Mall also partnered with the Quezon City Health Department to offer free HIV testing and health talks throughout the day.
“We wanted this celebration to reflect the vibrancy and strength of the LGBTQIA+ community while also creating a space where people can connect, express themselves, and feel truly seen,” said Raymond Del Rosario, President of Fisher Mall Group of Companies.
Supporting Queer Entrepreneurs
Another big win? The pop-up Pride marketplace, featuring LGBTQIA+ small businesses supported by Quezon City’s Small Business and Cooperatives Development and Promotions Office (QC SBCDPO). From handmade merch to bold fashion statements, it was a chance for shoppers to support queer-owned brands – the kind of visibility many of these businesses rarely get in big retail spaces.
Pride as a Movement

“This milestone is a celebration of our growing community and our evolving role as a mall that listens, responds, and takes part in shaping a better, more inclusive future,” Del Rosario said—and you could feel that intention in every part of the event. It wasn’t just a party. It was a call to action.
Councilor Maria Eleanor Juan, head of the Committee on Women, Family Relations, and Gender Equality, echoed that sentiment beautifully. “Always remember that in Quezon City, you matter, you are seen, and you are part of something much bigger—a movement that is both beautiful and unstoppable.”
She was joined by Ms. Giana Barata, Acting Chief of the Tourism Department, who also voiced her support and appreciation for the initiative.
