I’ve always been a sucker for blush. So when Sugar Dolls PH sent over a few swatches of their Poppy Blush line for me to try, I was immediately curious. Is this just another pretty product, or something that would actually earn a permanent spot in my makeup kit? More Than Just a Cute Blush
Poppy Blush isn’t your regular cream blush. It’s what I like to call skincare with personality. You get that soft flush of color plus all the good stuff your skin secretly wishes your makeup had. For example:
- Hydration
- Antioxidants
- Oil control
- A dewy finish that doesn’t turn greasy halfway through the day
And the texture? Smooth, buttery, and so easy to blend with just your fingers. I tried dabbing a bit on my cheeks, lips, and eyelids—and yes, it passed the multitasking test with flying colors.
From the samples I received, each one had its own vibe. Here’s the quick rundown:
- Pink Pop – A raspberry pink that instantly brightens up fair to medium skin. Looks super fresh, like you’ve just had a good laugh.
- Heat Beat– My personal favorite! This terracotta-burnt orange combo gave me a subtle, sun-kissed look. I imagine it would look hot ? on tan or olive skin.
- Bubbleglow – Think playful, bubblegum pink—but still wearable. Gave my face a light, doll-like effect.
- Cherry Rush – My fave for contouring the cheeks. This deep brick-red adds just the right amount of depth without looking heavy.
Each one blended seamlessly and looked like my skin, but with a little more life.
On days I don’t feel like doing a full face, a little Poppy Blush on the cheeks and lips is all I need to feel ready. No brushes, no baking, just dab-blend-go.
Final Thoughts
Honestly? I didn’t expect to like every shade they sent me, but here we are. If you’re looking for something that’s skincare-meets-makeup, with shades that flatter Filipino skin tones and a formula that actually feels good – Poppy Blush is worth a try.
It’s cute, it’s functional, and it looks bomb in flatlays too.
