Filipino families will always delight in delicious Spanish-Filipino heritage food to grace the holiday table. And one of the best places in town to get it is in Ilustrado. Here's some of their offerings in time for Noche Buena: Callos Madrilena - a hearty and extra thick version of the traditional Madrid dish. It is slow-stewed Ox Tripe with Garbanzos, Chorizo de Bilbao, Pimientos and Bacon Slab. One order is good for 8 at P795. Pineapple Glazed Leg of Ham is a whole leg roasted in a thick, sweet and sour pineapple sauce. A leg is approximately ... Continue Reading...

Savory & sweet holiday treats from Bizu
I've always enjoyed attending events this year catered by Bizu Patisserie. Their gourmet food is something I always look forward to tasting, especially their Roast Beef prepared to perfection in 10 hours...so yummy! For the holiday season, a new offering from Bizu is the Roast Lamb Leg slow-cooked with garlic and rosemary and served with mint jelly and lamb au jus. Sponsored post/video: Lady’s Choice lights up remote communities
The holiday season is in full swing in the city. People doing last-minute shopping, attending parties, drinking, gorging on all the holiday food. Gerry’s Restaurant at 20 : new dishes up
The former Gerry's Grill is now known as Gerry's Restaurant and Bar. But its image as one of the most recognizable Pinoy dining establishments hasn't changed. We learned that Gerry's is turning 20 years old in February 2017. From being a simple joint serving beer and 'pulutan,' it has transformed through the years into a wholesome family restaurant. The customers who grew up munching on Gerry’s bestsellers now enjoy going to the resto with their kids and their children’s friends. And because turning 20 is a big milestone, Gerry's loyal followers can expect ... Continue Reading...
Thai Original BBQ of LA opens in BGC
Thai Original BBQ and Restaurant is a popular chain which started in Los Angeles, California. It has opened here in Manila, particularly where Tony Roma's used to be in the Fort Strip, Bonifacio Global City. We were invited to lunch before their soft opening last November 29 and had a good preview of their tasty and generous meal offerings. We think Thai BBQ Original is another must-visit for people who want value for money options in sampling Asian cuisine in the metro. I started my lunch with this pomelo salad. I wished the pomelo slices were 'plumpier' but ... Continue Reading...
