  1. Win a date with Daniel Matsunaga extended

    We had lunch this week with hot Brazilian-Japanese model Daniel Matsunaga. But whoever wins the Veet Me contest is even luckier: she will have dinner with Daniel in an undisclosed place in the Fort and a lotta wholesome fun after that :D

    Apparently, depilatory brand Veet conducted a survey among Pinay women on the local hunk they wanted to spend a nice evening with. Daniel topped the poll, followed by Akihiro Sato and Jericho Rosales.

    After having met Daniel in person, we can’t blame them. Daniel Matsunaga comes off as a soft-spoken, level-headed person whose main interests are mainly sports and keeping fit. He’s almost an adopted Filipino and considers the Philippines his favorite country. Having a girlfriend in Heart Evangelista helps.

    Even though our bachelor of the moment is already taken, a lot of girls are uploading their videos on the Veet Me contest site in order to get Daniel’s attention and have a crack at an Apple iPad. The contest has been extended up to April 30.

    She looks good enough to be a movie star!

    So this is how Barbara Cruz, Manila’s latest “mystery girl,” looks when totally transformed and made over. During a “reveal party” held at the Baypark, Manila, Barbara was finally identified as a 21-year-old I.T. consultant in a BPO company. She first caught the attention of many people due to her thick brows and old-fashioned (Maria Clara) way of dressing.

  6. Share your horrific hair removal story promo: the winners

    First of all, thank you to all who joined our recent Share your horrific hair removal story promo sponsored by Veet. Your stories were certainly interesting and should teach us how to avoid hair removal boo-boos next time. The moral lesson here is: to think before you act since the business of bodily hair is no laughing matter. Second, to always use a good depilatory tools and products.

    Some of my good friends also joined, and am just sad that we cannot give gift packs to everyone. Watch out in this corner though for Part II of our promo. I had fun trying out random. org to make the drawing of contest winners as scientific and impartial as possible. So here they are. Congratulations!

  8. Catch and shoot Barbara, win a Macbook Pro promo by Veet

    Last Thursday, I wrote about this mystery woman we saw in Greenhills which jibed with what I read in two of the leading blogs, byahilo and chuvaness.com. As I had suspected, she’s a real character and her true name is Barbara Cruz.

    According to Barbara’s close friend, “she’s real, all right. We’ve known her for some time, but she’s always looked that way no matter how hard we’ve tried to convince her to go with the modern times. She is afraid of change, and insists on clinging to tradition. Her appearance reflects her old-fashioned habits.”

    A few weeks after the Barbara sightings, it seems she’s caught the interest of leading depilatory brand Veet which has launched a promo aptly titled Catch and Shoot Barbara. A gadget freak like me would like to join this contest, if only because the top prize at stake is a Macbook Pro, an iPhone 3GS and other exciting prizes. :D
