It's a meaningful weekend. Everyone I know is either donating, praying, and volunteering in relief efforts for typhoon Haiyan victims in Tacloban and other ravaged areas. The Hong Kong Legislative Council passed a resolution last week seeking to impose sanctions on the Philippines for its failure to apologize and compensate victims of the 2010 Manila bus hostage crisis. And one of the threats being dangled was the revocation of Filipinos' visa-free access to HK.
