Get fit tips from my gym

October 10, 2006 ·

Gyms are really not the favorite destination of Filipinos, malls are. Somehow we have this crazy idea that walking the whole length of Mall of Asia (with stop-overs of window-shopping in between) already equates to time spent in the treadmill. Women wearing skimpy skirts and midribs are also a common sight in Manila :P but rarely will you find a mini-skirted woman who is toned and muscular at the same time. A muscled and toned woman seems odd, by our standards. We prefer to wallow in our slimness and we can only thank God that we are Asian, and in some cases suffering ... Continue Reading...

It would have been one of those garden variety emails if not for the fact that the ... Continue Reading...

Last call for the Manila International Book Fair

The Philippines' biggest bookstore, the Manila International Book Fair, happens only once a year and its ongoing until tomorrow, Sept. 3, at the World Trade Center on Sen. Gil Puyat Ave. cor. Roxas Blvd., Pasay City. My friend, who's the event's publicist, sent this announcement to me: "Touted as the country’s biggest annual bookstore’, the MIBF is sprawled on approximately 12,000 square meters of exhibit space, with 111 participants together under one roof – from publishers to book retailers like National Bookstore, Powerbooks, Goodwill Bookstore and ... Back on Track

August 21, 2006 ·

This blog is back on track, thanks to my superhero and webhost, Yuga. This site now uses the latest WordPress version, and I like the fact that the reader can choose to view this blog according to one's personal preferences. If you go to the upper left hand corner, there's a cuztomization tool bar where you can choose the size of the font, left hand or right hand navigation, the width of the layout etc. Kewl! I am still in the process of reconstructing my links so please bear with me. Speaking of Yuga, he hails from Guimaras and I can just cry at that beautiful ... Continue Reading...
