Cheese is one of my favorite food items and because it's a staple in our pantry, all my kids have grown up loving them too. My youngest Lucia can munch on cubed cheese while doing her favorite activity (online games!). I am thankful that she prefers this over nibbling on candies or other junk food. There is probably nothing as Pinoy as the carinderia, the local eatery found in every street corner offering traditional home cooked Filipino food. February 9 was officially World Pizza Day and our favorite food chain Greenwich transformed a park in Glorietta, Makati City into an Overloaded Pizza District. Ilustrado Restaurant in Intramuros offers Valentine food choices until February 17. For Feb. 14, they offer a set menu priced at P2,200 plus 10% service charge per person. The harried holidays have just passed and if your pantry or ref is still overflowing with leftover food, here's once recipe that would make good use of those glorious ingredients.
