.... and so it came to pass that I spent my birthday having lunch with Emilie's daughter, Patricia, in Jamie's Italian Restaurant fronting Kuta Beach in Bali. It was just an ordinary day for me, I try not to be sentimental about it. First time in Bali for the Fitness Weekend 2015!
I sorely needed an excuse to go to the island-paradise of Bali. For starters, I haven't been to Indonesia...and Bali is the place to be, for sure! So when my friend Emilie, a licensed Zumba instructor, invited me to join her for the Bali Fitness Weekend, I said 'go!' without hesitation. As a traveller, I rely on hotel review sites, blogs and even Facebook to check out places whenever I go to a new destination. But nothing beats word-of-mouth or the feedback I hear from friends. Baler in Aurora, Province has been on my wishlist of places to go to in the Philippines for sometime. Our Royal Cliff Beach Hotel family holiday in Pattaya (part 2)
Can you imagine, we went to Thailand not being able to shop at all? I guess that's what you get for staying in a resort that's far from the madding crowd. But am not complaining. Especially as I saw my kids very happy and I got my much-needed relaxation with a capital R! :) We were assigned this Mini Suite Sea View Plus room which was approximately 40 sq.m. but more than enough for us.
