It seems that everything and everybody's going online these days. But before today's independent online stores, virtual boutiques and group discount coupons, there was the Multiply Marketplace. Multiply has been hugely successful in the Philippines and it's a living testament to the Filipino's penchant for entrepreneurship. Long before Facebook, enterprising people utilized the site’s popular Photo Album feature to showcase products and wares that briskly sold to netizens. You might ask: what's new with shopping at Multiply? It's now a fully-functioning ... Continue Reading...

Cafe Noriter, Taft: design inspirations
If you're a student of De La Salle University and DLSU-College of St. Benilde starting in 2009, you'd probably relate to this place. Perched atop the Tapa King on Taft Avenue (Manila), Cafe Noriter is a favorite hang-out of La Sallians. And for good reason, it's simply one of the most wonderfully-designed places I've seen. The regulars call Noriter their playground where they can unwind after school, pore over books or stoop doing their assignments. You can even sit on the ... Continue Reading...

Aside from the delicious munchies that was served, it was a great learning experience to discover the many ways by which one can serve one of the healthiest drinks around: tea. Take a bag of Lipton and one can have a cinnamon chai latte, or a Hong Kong-style milk tea, or a hot apple tea.Easy-to-prepare recipes were shared to us by Rosebud Benitez, the pretty chef and host of Quickfire on GMA News TV. In a table neatly laid out with ingredients, she ... Continue Reading...
Menudo & adobo recipes at SM Master Chefs 2011 cooking marathon
It's nice to be reacquainted with lutong bahay or home cooking when you've eaten too many restaurant meals.:-D On spotlight this week: a delicious menudo dish that you can cook for 10 minutes or less. I couldn't help munching on this menudo which is prepared "tapas" style - ergo, can be eaten even without rice. Emphasis is on long marination (overnight), using less sauce and choosing a meat cut (pork tenderloin) that can be sauteed for only ... Continue Reading...
