Ekstreme Tower Ride will be launched in the Philippines' first and only world class theme park Enchanted Kingdom come October, when the park celebrates its 15th year anniversary. This should be something to look forward to, as the ride reaches up to 150 feet and then plunges from the top. Whew! I can just imagine how high 150 feet is, and how spine-tingling this must be. I love cheese, and am amazed at how our native Filipino dishes can be made even more special with its addition. Like the Kesong kesong Ambugong dish from the town of Altavas, Aklan (pictured above). Delectable biko (rice cake) is sandwiched between with coco jam and cheese in what looks like a very irresistible pairing. How about the Special Suman con Quezo of Tuao, Cagayan in the far North? Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan
If you go to Taiwan, don't just linger in Taipei. Make an effort to ride their high-speed trains and wander in the outskirts where one can marvel in Taiwan's countryside beauty. Sun Moon Lake in Nantou County was particularly beautiful and as charming as its name. I would recommend it for couples taking their honeymoon, or people just wanting some peace and quiet. How to apply for a Taiwan visa
One of the things that made my recent overseas trip harder than usual was compiling documentary requirements for the Taiwan visa. The last time I did so was for a trip to Japan in 2005. I've also gotten so used to travelling around Southeast Asia where getting around (luckily) doesn't require a visa for Filipinos.
