Max's chicken-all-you-can promotion @ P165 was such a big hit, I know. Where else in the world can you get irresistibly good chicken for a little more than $3 in an eat-till-you-drop fashion? Before the promo closed, I made sure to eat with three of my male officemates in Max's Ma. Orosa branch in Ermita. Luckily, this was a secluded location and not as crowded as the others. I've never hidden the fact that Max's is one of our favorite Filipino family restaurants. Chicken is my kids' comfort food, and in our book, nothing beats fried chicken cooked the Max's way. Max's Restaurant is a classic. I just think their fried chicken is the most amazing thing in the world. Fried chicken with the falling-off-to-the-bone goodness of roast chicken, if you know what I mean. We locals take it for granted, but it is something that should be tasted when you're in the Philippines for the first time. (note: like Jollibee, they do have overseas branches.
